A new bridge construction hotline should help residents and visitors with timely information. The Village of Tequesta has established a Tequesta Bridge hotline at (561) 575-6222 so residents may have bridge construction updates until the span is completed later this year.
The hotline will provide daily and weekly construction updates, 24 hours a day. Residents who call the hotline will receive a recorded message on the bridge construction progress. In addition, information on the construction, and photos of its progress are available at http://www.tequesta.org/.
Construction began on the Tequesta Bridge over the North Fork of the Loxahatchee River in early 2010, and is expected to be completed by September. The new bridge will be wider and somewhat taller to accommodate taller boats, and will include a walkway and lighting for pedestrians.
