Foreclosure update for FL & Palm Beach

Realty Trac has released their foreclosure numbers for Florida and Palm Beach county and as you might expect they are staggering. For the state as a whole these are the facts:

Dec. YTD

New foreclosures: 50,808 502,297

Foreclosure sales: 4,665 33,382

There are 2,567 foreclosure properties in Palm Beach.... that's 1 in every 248 homes. By town:

Every year the Town of Jupiter rewards its inhabitants with a celebration so out-of-this-world fantastic it can only be properly called the Jupiter Jubilee. Listen to the booming sounds of the local elementary and high school bands as you wander around the festival enjoying food provided by local restaurant favorites such as Tabica Grill and Sonny's Bar-B-Q. Other festivities at the Jubilee include live music, dancing, police K-9 demonstrations, and a special Kid's Zone with playgrounds, candy arts and crafts, a bounce house and face painting.

Temps going down again!

Florida's citrus growers are battening down the hatches for another cold night tonight. The total damage to the crops won't be known for a couple of days when the weather warms up. We are just finishing up with this year's orange and grapefruit crop and the trees were already setting bloom for next year.

For those of you reading this in the north, this type of weather usually lasts about 3 days before the wind swings around to the SE and comes in off the ocean. Then we get back to the fantastic weather we enjoy during the winter. If you have any chance to get down here and play some golf, now is definitely the time.
